Read: Mark 4:35–5:1

We don't need to fear the storm with Jesus    as our anchor.

耶稣既是我们稳固的锚，我们就无须害怕风暴。

Let us go over to the other side. Mark 4:35

我们渡到那边去吧。-马可福音4章35节 

A comfortable plane ride was about to get bumpy. The voice of the captain interrupted in-flight beverage service and asked passengers to make sure their seatbelts were fastened. Soon the plane began to roll and pitch like a ship on a wind-whipped ocean. While the rest of the passengers were doing their best to deal with the turbulence, a little girl sat through it all reading her book. After the plane landed, she was asked why she had been able to be so calm. She responded, “My daddy is the pilot and he’s taking me home.”

原本一趟舒适的航空旅程却遇上了乱流。机长的广播打断了机上的餐饮服务，并要求乘客系紧安全带。紧接着，飞机开始像在大海中被暴风袭击的船只一样，上下左右地摇晃。正当其他乘客尽量保持镇定撑过乱流之际，一位小女孩却能在整个过程当中，静静地坐着看书。等到飞机平安降落之后，有人问这个小女孩，为什么她能够保持平静。她回答说：「我爸爸是机长，他要带我回家。」

Though Jesus’ disciples were seasoned fishermen, they were terrified the day a storm threatened to swamp their boat.They were following Jesus’  instructions. Why was this happening? (Mark4:35-38). He was with them but He was asleep at the stern of the craft. They learned that day that it is not true that when we do as our Lord says there will be no storms in our lives. Yet because He was with them, they also learned that storms don’t stop us from getting to where our Lord wants us to go(5:1). 

虽然耶稣的门徒是经验丰富的渔夫，但是当他们的船只面对暴风时，他们仍然惊恐无比。他们明明是听从耶稣的指令，为什么这样的事情还是会发生呢？（马可福音4章35-38节）耶稣虽与门徒同在船上，但祂却在船尾睡得香甜。在那天，门徒领悟到，遵行主的命令，并不表示生命中就没有风浪。然而，门徒也明白只要有耶稣同在，无论耶稣要他们往哪里去，风浪都无法阻挡（5章1节）。

Whether the storm we encounter today is theresult of a tragic accident, a loss of employment, or some other trial, we canbe confident that all is not lost. Our Pilot can handle the storm. He will get us home.

无论我们今天遭遇怎样的风暴，是不幸的意外、失业，或其他的试炼，我们还是可以有信心，因为我们仍有希望。当知道我们的机长主耶稣胜过这些风暴，祂会领我们平安回家。

Prayer 祷告：

What storms are you encountering today? Perhaps you have lost a loved one or are facing a serious illness. Perhaps you are having difficulty finding a job. Ask the Lord to strengthen your faith and take you safely through the storm to the other side.

你现在正经历怎样的风暴呢？也许你正逢丧亲之痛，或是罹患严重的疾病，又或是在求职的过程中处处碰壁。求主加添你的信心，并领你度过风暴，安抵彼岸。

35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples,“Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took himalong, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 Afurious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it wasnearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The discipleswoke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”39 He got up,rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind dieddown and it was completely calm.40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you soafraid? Do you still have no faith?”41 They were terrified and asked eachother, “Who is this? Even 1 the wind and the waves obey him!” They went acrossthe lake to the region of the Gerasenes.
